Dr. Kita grew up in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and has spent her time all over the East coast for schooling, starting at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia and Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. She then attended Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine for her medical degree. Dr. Kita has spent the last three years completing her pediatrics residency at Baystate Children’s Hospital in Springfield, Massachusetts.
When she first visited the practice of Gruenwald, MD & Comandatore, MD, she expressed how she was pleasantly surprised by the diverse patient population and the team-like feeling of the support staff. She felt it was a place she could grow as a pediatrician.
Her interests include opportunities in advocacy, health equity and the social determinants of health, women’s health, and empowering young girls. She also has a special interest in mental and behavioral health, and creating a medical home for patients with complex needs.
Outside of medicine, her interests include reading, hiking, Peloton cycling classes, podcasts, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
